Rebuilding Together 2007

Oak Ridge High School students and teachers teamed up to rebuild the home of Mertis Lewis, an 80-year old mother of two who lives alone. The project took hours of planning, and even more hours of har labor, but it all paid off in the end. We made substantial improvements to Mertis' house that should help her live a more comfortable and happy life. ORHS Key Club is sponsoring another house this year! Sign up to help out! (You must be at least 16 years old to work on the home site.)

Cal-Nev-Ha District Convention Promo 2007

It's that time of year again! Time to sign up for the 2008 Key Club District Convention! This year, Key Club Convention will be located in Sacramento, CA -- real close to home! Now, nobody has an excuse NOT to go! This is footage of last year's Convention in Long Beach ('06-'07). Key Club Connection: CSUS Ropes Course

This year, Key Club is visiting California State University Sacramento (CSUS) to use their Ropes Course facilities for team-building and other fun activities! The date for the event is Friday, October 5, 2007. Pick up a form in I-6 if you are interested in attending this once-in-a-lifetime event! Costa Rica Summer Trip 2007

Last summer, several Key Club members took a trip down to Costa Rica for a special community service project. They had the incredible opportunity to directly help people who were in need and experience the great feeling one gets from doing meaningful community service. Next summer (2008), a similar trip is planned. See Mrs. Gruwell in I-6 for more information.

Oak Ridge Key Club Recycling Program

This is a video that was created to generate awareness of the Oak Ridge High School Key Club's on-campus recycling program among students and teachers. This recycling program helps the environment and also generates funds for our club. We entered this video into the 2006 Cal-Nev-Ha District Convention Video Contest but, sadly, it did not win. Note: The last interview in the video is with Sara Khorasani not Ashley Dolfie. Sorry for the mistake, Sara!
